Essential Skills NI

LSDA NI’s programme of support has contributed to the success of the Department for Employment & Learning’s Essential Skills for Living Strategy. It includes:

  • Workshops on improving provision to enable managers and tutors to evaluate and improve practice
  • Continuous professional development for tutors in colleges and training providers
  • Promoting active learning approaches to Numeracy, Literacy and ICT and developing new resources and activities
  • Disseminating information on current issues to all interested parties across the sector
